Well...Columbus is on the rebound from severe flooding. On Saturday and Sunday I found myself stuck in Columbus due flooding of all roads going in and coming out of the city. I could only watch as a damn broke and flood waters threatened my home as well as my sister's home. On Saturday I saw lives destroyed as the waters destroyed homes. I saw mothers crying as they tried to comfort their children. People fleeing for the their lives and trying to save whatever they could before the water took their homes...
I have never heard so many sirens in Columbus before that day...people everywhere...scared...wet...homeless. On Sunday...I drove around Columbus and got a better idea of the damage. The hospital had been evacuated...several businesses were just completely destroyed by the water, and people were scrambling to save whatever they could from their soaked homes. Even now...life is beginning to return to normal, but it will be some time before it all becomes normal. I'm just thankful that my family and friends are ok, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who weren't so fortunate...

Now listen up! Back in my day, we didn't have fancy tanks! We had sticks. Two sticks and a rock for the entire platoon! And we had to share the rock! You should consider yourself very lucky marines! - Sgt. Johnson

All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts seven ages.

You can bomb the world into pieces, but you can't bomb it into peace.

Is being torn apart really the end of my world.
or is this the beginning?
discovering that my life inside was completely hollow,
how could i have gone on for so long,
without knowing something was missing
